Motorcycle Crashes Into Tow Truck; Driver Dead at Scene
Riverside, CA – A motorcyclist was killed in a crash that occurred at Hillside Avenue and Arlington Avenue in Riverside on Saturday night. Police say a 54-year-old Cypress man that was riding his motorcycle crashed into a flatbed tow truck while making a turn at the intersection. The motorcyclist died at the scene but has not been publicly identified due to pending family notification.
The Orange County motorcycle accident occurred at 9:47 p.m. The motorcyclist was trapped under the truck when police arrived on the scene. Firefighters from the local fire department were called to the scene where they freed the man. Firefighters attempted to perform life support on the man at the scene of the bike accident. Unfortunately, the motorcycle driver was killed at the scene.
The motorcycle was traveling in the westbound lane as the tow truck was turning from the eastbound lane of Arlington Ave. onto Hillside Ave. The truck was making a left hand turn when the motorcyclist collided into the back. Police are still investigating the motorcycle accident.
