Man and Woman Hit By Car While Crossing Street in Santa Ana, CA
Orange County, CA – A man and woman were struck by a car and severely injured while they were crossing the street in a crosswalk in Santa Ana on Monday night. The car accident occurred at the intersection of Flower and First Streets in Santa Ana shortly after 11:30 p.m.
It is unclear whether the driver of a black Chevrolet Camero sustained any injuries, but the airbags deployed which demonstrates the force of the impact when the car struck the victims. One of the victims that was crossing the street was on a bicycle when they were hit by the car. Santa Ana police officers performed a field-sobriety test on the driver, but it did not appear that drugs or alcohol played a part in the accident.
Both victims had life threatening injuries and were transported to a hospital in Orange County.
